Metamorphosis, the 9th image in the series. I made 3 versions of the raven in total, I just couldn't get it the way I wanted it to look. I settled for this one. I like the placing of the hand on her back. It captures the surprise of having wings I think, metaphorically speaking. I like capturing metaphors with a rather literal image. This piece wouldn't have been possible without the image from *tacostock I used as a reference and inspiration. Thank you very much.  The model and the wings were painted, so was a big part of the sky. Some overpainting, some blending work and some photographs for the sand. It's very mixed really. The wings were so hard to paint, something I didn't expect. I was so used to painting white wings. Anyway I'm happy with how they look now. Enjoy! The Metamorphosis Series: I.
