Age: 35/36
House: Slytherin (JKR website).
Career: Hired as Potions Master & Head of Slytherin House at Hogwarts in 1981, but he wants to be the Defense against the Dark Arts Professor.
Hair: black and greasy, shoulder length
Eyes: black
Complexion: sallow, also described as very pale
Distinguishing features: long, hooked nose, scowl; Dark Mark on left forearm but not always clearly visible.

'Severus' meaning: Severus=obvious connotations of severity and strictness. Possible allusion to the Roman Emperor, Lucius Septimius Severus, who reconstructed Hadrian’s wall and defeated Clodinus Albinus and Pescennius Niger. There are also several saints with the name Severus.
'Snape' meaning: JKR says "Snape is an English village" (eT), probably the one in North Yorkshire near Hadrian’s (aka Severus’) Wall. This village also has a 'Snape Castle.' There is another Snape Village that is near Saxmundham, northeast of Ipswich near the Alde River.

sneap: to nip; pinch; put down; repress; snub (phrontistery).

Well this is my first piece of fanart, I saw the original picture and I knew I just had to use it. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. The hair was painted, and I think I'm improving bit by bit lol. Anyways hope all you Harry Potter fans like it too. :heart:

Awww, he is not bad... just dark... and scary. In a good way. I looooove authority figures, when they are dark it gets even better. That's how my R. conquered me I guess. I am a fool for mysteries, a total ucker for darkness and magic combined...

Let them like them less! We will keep doing male manips.
