About 2 years ago I tried to make this Queen of the fairies from William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". I never managed to do her justice though. This time I am a lot more satisfied. I worked on this for a very long time using a stock photo from *Lisajen-stock as a reference.
I truly enjoyed messing around with the colours in this one, i like a lot of contrast and bright lighting. A hard combination in such a dusky atmosphere. I think it turned out quite well though.
I am pleased. I hope you are too.
Thanks for all the amazing feedback, you guys are great!

This is so beautiful and ethereal! I love the contrast between the light and dark shades and how you've basically kept the colors to the same color family. The design of the wings you've used is so unique and elegant.
Very pretty. I love the way you use one color and make all the shades seem to work together. I want her dress and her wings. They are absolutely STUNNING. Stunning. The flowers she's holding and in her hair seem out of place with them being in a different color palette. It adds a unique touch.

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
